5月17日於台中福華大飯店舉行第一屆第一次會員暨理監事聯席會議，宣告協會正式成立；鄧鴻吉全票當選首任理事長，2013 年諾貝爾獎得主 Schekman 錄影祝賀。
On 17 May, the first general and board meeting at the Howard Prince Hotel Taichung formally launched the Association. TENG Hung-Chi was elected its first president unanimously, and 2013 Nobel laureate Randy W. Schekman sent a video message.
